Community has always been at the heart of who I am. As an African and Muslim woman, I’m proud to contribute to spaces that celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and create meaningful change. Over the years, I’ve actively participated in a wide range of national and local events as a volunteer—helping to organize, support, and operate different activities that bring people together. Whether it's cultural festivals, tech conferences, or community workshops, I show up with purpose, empathy, and a readiness to support wherever I'm needed. These experiences have deepened my belief in the power of service, the richness of cultural exchange, and the importance of showing up—not just as a leader, but as a committed, hands-on community member.

I'm a passionate community builder who believes in the power of connection, representation, and shared learning—especially in spaces where voices have been historically underrepresented. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to help create and support communities that champion women, technology, and ethical innovation.

At the University of Windsor, I’ve helped lead the Women in Cybersecurity chapter, creating opportunities for mentorship, skill-building, and peer support. I'm also actively involved in Women in Machine Learning & Data Science in both Windsor, Ontario, and Khartoum, Sudan—bridging continents to foster global sisterhood in tech.

Beyond the academic space, I contribute to the Open Cybersecurity Community in Windsor and serve as a voice for ethical innovation through the Responsible AI Community of Canada. In addition, I proudly serve as Secretary for the African Women Windsor Association, where we advocate for inclusion, empowerment, and cultural celebration. Through these roles, my goal is simple: to create safe, inspiring spaces where people—especially women of all backgrounds—can grow, lead, and thrive together.
